This Saturday (February 19th) is the annual George Washington Classic 10K in Alexandria, Virginia. It's a fun race with a flat, fast course-- perfect for going for a PR! I ran it in 2008 and highly recommend it (and I have yet to run a faster 10K since). The race starts late enough, that you can take the metro (yellow line to Eisenhower) to the start too!
